# How to give VISIUM partner access to your Meta business portfolio

For VISIUM to create and optimize your ads, you share your **Facebook Page** and your **ad account** with VISIUM as a partner in Meta Business Suite. You stay the owner of everything, you don't share any passwords, and you can remove access at any time. It takes about 5 minutes.

## Before you begin

- You need **full control** of your business portfolio. If you don't have it, ask the person who manages it to follow this guide or to give you full control.
- Your Facebook Page and your ad account must be **inside** that business portfolio. If your ad account is a personal one, add it to the portfolio first (see [Troubleshooting](https://visium-ai.com/en/onboarding-meta/#troubleshooting)).
- Your ad account needs an **active payment method**. Without a card, Meta won't even let an ad be created, let alone published.
- Turn on [two-factor authentication](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/280940009201586) for your business portfolio if you haven't yet. Meta requires it to share assets.
- Keep VISIUM's ID handy: **1016701865876655**. No need to ask us for it: this is it.

## Give VISIUM access to your Page and ad account

1. Go to your business portfolio's [Settings](https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/partners) in Meta Business Suite.
   - If you manage several businesses, check in the top left that the right portfolio is selected.
2. Click **Partners** in the **Users** section of the menu on the left.
   - If you don't see **Partners**, you don't have full control of the business portfolio. Only people with full control can share assets with partners.
3. Click **Add**, then select **Give a partner access to your assets**.
4. Enter VISIUM's business portfolio ID, **1016701865876655**, then click **Next**.
5. Under **Pages**, choose your Facebook Page and turn on **Full control**.
   - With the Page, VISIUM publishes ads under your business name and photo, and can reuse your posts.
6. Under **Ad accounts**, choose the account you'll advertise with and turn on **Full control**.
   - If your ads will send people to your website, also share your **dataset** (the pixel). It's optional: ads run without it.
   - Don't share your WhatsApp Business account. VISIUM doesn't need it.
7. Click **Assign assets**.

> Someone else with full control of your business portfolio may need to approve this. Once approved, both you and VISIUM can see the shared assets in each portfolio's **Settings**.

## Connect your WhatsApp to your Facebook Page

If you want your ads to open a WhatsApp conversation, your number has to be linked to your Page. It's the step almost everyone forgets, and without it Meta rejects the ad even when everything else is right.

1. Open your Facebook Page and go to **Settings**.
2. Find **Linked accounts** and choose **WhatsApp**.
3. Enter your business WhatsApp number and click **Send code**.
   - Meta sends a code to that WhatsApp. Whoever has the phone in hand needs to enter it.
4. Enter the code and click **Confirm**.

> If your ads only go to Messenger, Instagram Direct or your website, you can skip this step.

## What happens next

- VISIUM checks the connection on its side: it reads your ad account, confirms the payment method and tests each destination (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram) without publishing anything or spending a cent.
- We'll let you know when your account is ready, or tell you exactly what's missing.
- You stay the owner: VISIUM can't share your assets with another business (only the owner can), and you can [remove VISIUM as a partner](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/2222659621282858) at any time from **Partners**.

## Troubleshooting

### I don't see the Partners option.

Your user doesn't have full control of the business portfolio. Ask someone who does to follow this guide, or to give you full control under **Users** > **People**.

### My ad account isn't in the list.

It's probably a personal account or it belongs to another portfolio. Under **Settings** > **Accounts** > **Ad accounts**, click **Add** > **Add an ad account** and enter its ID (the numbers, without the act_ prefix). Then go back to step 1.

### My Page isn't in the list.

The Page has to belong to your business portfolio. Under **Settings** > **Accounts** > **Pages**, click **Add** > **Add a Page** and search for it by name.

### I don't have a business portfolio.

Create one for free at [business.facebook.com](https://business.facebook.com) with your Facebook account. Then add your Page and ad account, and follow this guide from the top.

### Do I need to share my WhatsApp Business account?

No. VISIUM only needs your Page and your ad account. The one thing that is required is that your number is [linked to your Page](https://visium-ai.com/en/onboarding-meta/#connect-whatsapp).

### Can I give partial access instead of full control?

With partial access, some VISIUM features (like reusing your posts or testing destinations) can fail silently. We recommend full control: even so, VISIUM can't share your assets with anyone else, and you can remove access at any time.

### Can VISIUM charge my card?

Meta bills ad spend directly to your ad account's card, based on the budget you approve. VISIUM doesn't store your card details.

- The agent must not type passwords, two-factor authentication codes, or the code that arrives by WhatsApp: a person confirms those.
- If Meta asks for another admin's approval, the agent should stop and let you know.
